Join My Women’s Tour to Morocco
This is the 15 day / 14 night Morocco women’s tour youโve been waiting for!
A very warm welcome to my page dedicated to all things women trips, and all things Morocco! My name is Sharon, and I’m a wanderluster to the core, always looking forward to the next travel adventure. And I’m super excited you’re here to find out more about coming on my next women’s tour to Morocco.
I love bringing travel loving women together, to meet my Moroccan friends and see Morocco through my eyes. After slow travelling Morocco for 3 months, I’ve discovered the hidden gems, made the local connections… and now it’s time for you to come experience a piece of authentic Morocco with me.
This adventure will include the medinas, the kasbahs, the Berber villages, desert dunes under starry skies, Marrakech shopping days, Fes tanneries, rugged mountains, village hammams, windswept beaches, cute riads, history, culture… and so much mint tea!!!
I’ve designed the BEST 15 day itinerary and handpicked each nights stay. So get your friends on board, or come make some new ones!

Meet My Friend & Guide – Ahmed Zin

Ahmed and family are proud Amazigh Berber, and the village of Aroumd in the Atlas Mountains is their home. Visiting Morocco with Ahmed, honestly doesnโt get any more authentic!
We met his family in 2022 while slow travelling through Morocco. And after hearing how large tour operators, bring tour groups to the Atlas Mountains, with minimal profit seen in the villages, I was determined to help Ahmed and his guiding business – Trek Atlas.
And so I wrote this blog, which saw him gain many enquiries and bookings. Nowadays Ahmedโs tour company is thriving and Ahmed has employed more local villagers, ultimately spreading the profit where it really counts. For Ahmed itโs all about supporting his community.
Scroll to the bottom of that same blog to read the many comments of travellers who have all since taken a tour with Ahmed, and youโll read how they ALSO sing his praises.

A few Testimonials Of TREK Atlas shared on my Blog –
๐ฃ๏ธ โI canโt thank you enough for taking the time to write such a good article about Ahmed and his company. Because of you, I found them amidst the souk full of choices.โ – Dave Gooder
๐ฃ๏ธ โAhmed is not only highly experienced, he is very committed to sustainable tourism and improving the skills and livelihoods of the local community.โ – Julie Lawrence
๐ฃ๏ธ โThe whole trip was impeccably organised with every detail really well thought through. To experience the landscapes and people we met along the way is something that will stay with us for a very long time โ absolutely stunning, incredibly special โ it felt a real privilege. And the food! Oh my goodness, we were fed so well too โ in fact the meals we ate whilst on the trek were the best meals we had all holiday! – Sarah Loveday
I am proud to call Ahmed a friend – and I truly believe there really is no one better to explore Morocco with.
The Itinerary Highlights

Below is the itinerary. I’ve perfected it after my first Morocco women’s tour with 10 lovely friends in May this year. Which means the next one is going to be even BETTER!
๐๏ธ Casablanca – 1 night
Everybody trickles into Casablanca in preparation for the tour, and we gather for our first women’s dinner – a beautiful grazing table in our apartment overlooking the biggest mosque in Morocco. We meet Ahmed and the team who will be guiding us through Morocco.
๐๏ธ Fes – 2 nights
Our tour with Ahmed and team begins! Make our way to Meknes, visit the UNESCO world heritage and archaeological site of Volubulis, Moroccoโs very own roman ruins!
Drive time: Casablanca to Volubulis 3 hours.
We carry on to the infamous Fes, the oldest and largest medina in the world and our first night in a traditional riad in the heart of the medina. Guided tour of the medina on foot, see the first University in the world, founded by Fatima al-Fihri; the pungent must-see Fes tannery; and madrasas. Optional – tagine cooking lesson and visit to the produce market.
Drive time: Volubulis to Fes 2 hours.
๐๏ธ MIDELT Plains – 1 night
The next three nights the itinerary is moving fast, this is where the most ground is covered. There are long driving days, but the scenery is unique and we have many stops along the way. On the way to Midelt we’ll drive through the beautiful mountain ranges of the Ifrane National Park, saying hello to the Barbary macaques monkeys on the way past.
Drive time: Fes to Midelt 5 hours.
๐๏ธ Merzouga Desert Camp – 1 night
From Midelt to Merzouga, we pass the Ziz River and the electric blue manmade Al-Hassan Addakhil dam and water reservoir. We arrive in Merzouga in time for sunset and a magical desert camping experience in the Sahara, with traditional dinner and music around a campfire.
Drive time: Midelt to Merzouga 5 hours.
๐๏ธ Dades Gorge – 1 night
Travel from Merzouga to Dades Gorge includes visit to the beautiful Todra Gorge, with one night in a traditional guesthouse.
Drive time: Merzouga to Dades Gorge 6 hours.
๐๏ธ Ait Benhaddou – 1 night
Start the morning with a visit to Kalaat M’Gouna (Rose Valley). And in the afternoon explore the impressive and famous kasbah of Ait Benhaddou located in the beautiful Telouet Valley.
Drive time: Dades Gorge to Ait Benhaddou 3 hours.
๐๏ธ berber village Aroumd – 2 nights
We arrive in Ahmedโs home village at the base of Mount Toubkal in the Atlas Mountains. Opportunity to walk around the village valley, try a traditional local hammam, hike to Sidi Chamharouch. Sleep in a Berber guesthouse, enjoying traditional tagines and soaking up the mountain air.
Drive time: Ait Benhaddou to Aroumd 5 hours.
๐๏ธ Marrakech – 2 nights
Welcome to Moroccoโs red city! Enjoy a two night stay in the heart of the Marrakech medina in a beautiful riad. Dinner at the well-known Nomad Restaurant overlooking the medina and optional night out at Nobu.

๐๏ธ Essaouira – 3 nights
One of my personal favourites, the windy medina of Essaouira on the Atlantic coast. Stay at gorgeous Ryad Watier, with visits to my favourite shopping locations within the medina. We can explore some of my favourite street food locations, rooftop bars, walk the rampart walls, visit the fish markets. Option to go surfing in Sidi Kaouki, or horse riding on the beach with Insta famous Yassine Cavalier.
