IF you’ve stumbled on this post, but you’re just looking for casual dining and mid-range family restaurant options in Javea – then read our holiday guide, linked below. Alternatively, if you’re in search of a meal to remember, then look no further.
Now I’m going to stress two very important points at the beginning here. Firstly, Javea is well known for its gastronomy, really good food and restaurants. As such, it would be impossible to claim this list as the best restaurants in Javea, for the simple fact, that it wouldn’t be fair to make such a claim. If you’re a novice foodie (like me), you’ll quickly discover that the bar has been set high, for quality food and dining in Javea.
Secondly, I will add, that I’m no expert. So don’t expect any Michelin quality food comments from me. However I can tell you, I get giddy over incredibly delicious food, which is beautifully presented. The kind of dining experience that leaves an impression. And I can confidently say, that the following 6 restaurants, in and around Javea, will do just that.
Below we dish up the juicy details, on 6 of our favourite restaurants in Javea. With all that said, let’s get started… & buen provecho!

6 Top Restaurants in Javea
We have spent a great deal of time exploring Javea. You might say we know it like the back of our hand these days. It has been the perfect destination for our little digital nomad retreats in Spain. What’s more, our best friends live there and so we’ve had many insider tips along the way. Including, the best places to eat in Javea!
It also has to be said that I don’t usually write ‘where to eat guides‘ in my travel content. However, my inspiration to write this post, came after discovering that the dining and restaurant experiences in Javea are essentially… next level.
Below we explain a little about each of the restaurants, including one or two of their must-try dishes. You’ll find their timings, location, price ranges and link to their reservation page. It’s also important to note, that the restaurants listed are in no particular order.

Tosca takes its name from the region’s once traditionally mined sandstone. In the same way the team from Tosca have paid tribute to the region within their name, a similar respect is also given to the local food and wine. We love that they source their produce locally, with an emphasis on using seasonal ingredients.
Tosca gets a special mention on the Michelen Guide, which is no surprise after you have browsed their menus. The salted sea bass receives great praise, as do the tasting menus.
Choose from the Menu “Sol” for a Tuesday to Friday, midday lunch. Or the Menu “Luna,” or for the full experience the Menu “Eclipse.” These tasting menus are without a doubt, a superb way to enjoy the diverse array of flavours on offer at Tosca.

Though if you prefer to try the dishes from the standard menu, then of course you are free to do so. In addition, meal choices can be paired with delicious local wines. We recommend that you take the opportunity to try Sommelier Ferran’s recommendations, as he pairs wines perfectly to Chef Julien’s dishes.
Terrace views over the canal, provide a perfect backdrop away from the busy tourist hubbub of the nearby Arenal Promenade. And the reviews confirm that guests continue to return, proving a trustworthy favourite, time and again.

Located in the Historic Centre or Old Town of Javea, Volta i Volta aptly take traditional meals and reinvent them. Taking inspiration from the past, they have carefully selected dishes that represent the region, then with a contemporary twist have served them up eloquently into the 21st century.
Volta i Volta pride themselves on their 0km menu, as such they seek local ingredients and make everything from scratch. Homemade is key, as is interesting and contrasting flavours that pleasantly surprise.

Noteworthy and highly praised meals include the lamb two ways, the suckling pig and the rabbit terrine. Tula is for the foodie die-hards! Think casual, yet sophisticated, Tula’s menu is uncomplicated, but delivers one hell of a punch. Every dish is beautifully crafted, with exceptional flavours and exquisite presentation. And their dedication to perfection, has earned them a well deserved Michelin star.
Reading the About Us page on Tula’s website, and you know you’ve found people who are truly passionate about food, people and place. Particularly their close connection to the people with whom supply them with the highest of quality fish, poultry, and seasonal produce. After reading their story I instantly had a respect for them and their beautiful Tula.

The young couple, Borja and Clara, have created a very special restaurant in a small space, and this is all part of the charm. Borja is the self-taught talent of the kitchen, while Clara brings the welcome at the front of house. At Tula you’ll find incredible food, served by friendly, down to earth people, without the flashy atmosphere.

9…Donde Fabrizio is unpretentious in every way. You can expect delicious food, that’s a little bit quirky, and served within a simple restaurant, with an abundance of atmosphere. In fact, they describe themselves with three words – eclectic, gastronomic, oddity!
The location is in one of my personal favourite districts in the Javea Historic Centre. So what with the beauty of old town, and the vibrant vibes of 9…Donde Fabrizio, it’s more than just a top meal out. It’s an experience. What’s more, Fabrizio is loads of fun and his interaction with his restaurant guests is regularly noted in all the reviews.

At 9…Donde Fabrizio they love to switch up the menu from one day to the next. The dishes change depending on what’s available and of course the chef’s trending inspiration. This means there’s a real flare for the creative side of cooking. However, at the same time, the meals are created with care and attention to detail.
When you visit, look out for the Fabrizio Salad, the Wellington Cod or Pork, or for desert the “Tiramisu, are you Serious??!!” I also love the sound of “Today I Made Meatballs.” But honestly there is a meal for everyone and you’ll find it a challenge to choose just one dish. We recommend ordering for the table, with the intention of sharing, that way you’ll taste more! The best thing about dinner at 9…Donde Fabrizio is that you know you’ll be served food you love, and it’s great value for money.
BonAmb

BonAmb is absolute elegance and sophistication. So this is where you come to dine if you are serious about food… you might even consider yourself something of a food snob. At BonAmb you have just found your people!
With the young innovative chef Alberto Ferruz onboard, BonAmb has received two Michelin stars – yes my friends – not one, but dos estrellas! Naturally therefore, you expect great things from the menu… and great things you will surely experience.
Diners choose from a selection of tasting menus, with an opportunity to highlight dietary requirements through their website booking page. And simply put, each dish is a culinary encounter like no other. The carefully curated menus, draw from all things local. A tribute to the unique flavours of the Marina Alta – from the herbs, to the honey, the vegetables, seafood and more.
Not only will you fall head over heels with the dishes placed in front of you, the service is second to none and the sommelier’s wine pairing is exceptional. BonAmb’s setting is perfect for summer outdoor seating. Not to mention, the beautiful gardens and sculptures are certainly worth a stroll before or after your meal. This a tranquil place, a stone’s throw from the busy Arenal and town centre. It’s a must in terms of gastronomy, on the Javea food scene.
Casa Grau
📍 Location – Carrer Major, 16 – in Javea Historic Centre

💶 Price Range – paellas €13-24pp; main dishes average €16-25

☎️ Call to Reserve – +34 965 79 27 56
Enter the paella and tapas, it had to be in here somewhere right! Though not limited to these quintessential Spanish classics, on the contrary, Casa Grau delivers a full, well rounded menu, inspired by French Bistro. The menu of the day is always a great choice, but of course you can also go à la carte!
Casa Grau is another favourite among the locals of Javea, set in the heart of the old town. Reserve an outdoor table, and enjoy dining al fresco in the picturesque, narrow streets of the historic centre. The ever present founder and chef of Casa Grau, Quique García, has created a restaurant to be proud of. Drawing inspiration from home traditions and a love of cooking, you’ll discover a sense that Casa Grau was created by the people, for the people.
In terms of must try dishes, well naturally the paella is at the top of that list. But if you’ve had your fill of rice based dishes, then the fresh seafood never fails to impress. And at the end of it all, the bill arrives without sending you into a state of shock, because Casa Grau provides exceptional value for money.
After you’ve visited Casa Grau, swooned over their menu and drooled over their dishes then you may like to try their other restaurant. Nearby, in the Javea Port is their sister restaurant Casa Viuda. And we couldn’t miss the opportunity to give a shoutout to their delicious tapas and pizzas, which can be enjoyed overlooking the beautiful Javea bay and ocean views.
